The 퀸알바 findings come from a 2016 SHRM survey of employee job satisfaction and engagement, conducted at the end of 2015 and released April 18. On Glassdoor, HR managers are 11th, with high Job Satisfaction scores of 4.2 out of 5. Nearly nine out of 10 radiologists called their jobs very satisfying, according to a survey by PayScale about job satisfaction. Teachers working with a wide range of age groups reported a high degree of job satisfaction.

Sixty percent of employees rate benefits as very important contributing factors to job satisfaction, keeping benefits at No. This could explain why employees rank compensation/pay as the second-most important job satisfaction contributor, up from fourth place in 2014. The top three drivers of job satisfaction that were mentioned were respect for employees at all levels, compensation/pay, and benefits.

Most attributed job satisfaction and happiness to qualities such as low-stress environment, decent salary, supportive colleagues, good work-life balance, and opportunity for meaningful work. We have analysed multiple career paths using criteria like level of job satisfaction, rating of meaningfulness of the work, career prospects, work-life balance, and salary competitiveness, in order to create the following list of 10 jobs that are most enjoyable and fulfilling. Many of those who are satisfied in a job enjoy a positive relationship with the people they work with, including their boss, colleagues, employees, and customers.

What may be more important to having a satisfying job is what you do every day. It makes sense that a job requiring long hours and relentless work might not seem all that fulfilling. In other words, you need not only the dedication and the skills to perform such intensive, data-intensive work, but even top-level IT jobs like that one require long hours at the computer screen.

It requires years of training and experience, usually an IT degree with an MBA. Education Administrators Education Administration, especially at the K-12 level, ranks as one of the more fulfilling jobs.

Actuary Perhaps you are surprised to know that the position of actuary ranks among the highest-satisfying jobs. Job-search website CareerCast similarly ranks actuaries in its Top 10 jobs, according to factors such as the working environment, level of stress, and projected employment growth. Enterprise architects Glassdoor lists, working within the companys IT department, develop hardware, software, and network applications, as well as working with stakeholders to help businesses execute and support their digital strategies. According to the report, average starting salaries for an enterprise architect are $144,997 per year, with 14,021 open positions, and a satisfaction rating of 4.1 out of 5.0.

Software developers are experiencing a far faster-than-average (22%) increase in jobs, according to BLS, with the median annual salary at $107,510. HR managers are typically employed by a human resources manager, and they earn a median annual salary of $61,920, according to the BLS. HR professionals earn a median annual salary of $100,980, according to the BLS, which projects job openings for the field will increase by 32% in the next 10 years. HR managers also help corporate leaders determine ways to maximize a companys employees worth in order to drive efficiency and higher productivity.

Just look at these 20 companies that are the best at employee compensation satisfaction, according to ratings by women currently working at, or who have worked at, those companies. While we published a more complete look at 32 companies that are leading for the treatment of their workers, broken down by industry, we have also updated this 2019 list, showing the top 10 companies that are treating their employees best, according to our ranking of Americas Most Just Companies in 2021. The annual rankings look at 70,000 American companies and identify where workers are more satisfied in aspects related to the workplace, compensation, benefits, and the goals of their companies.

As we have previously reviewed the Facebook rankings in the year 2020 and retained Facebooks Just Seal, which signifies the companys inclusion in Americas Most Just Companies (see that post for more context), we also retained its Best Companies for Workers seal. For an entry to be considered, it has to receive at least 100 compensation reports and at least 100 workplace satisfaction ratings shared by U.S.-based employees in the last year.

MBA jobs here are on average 53 hours/week, with middle-of-the-road compensation, but strong bonus potential and reasonably high influence ratings give it a bump. There are few MBA jobs that are as desirable in our unicorn-filled world as venture capital roles, but the good hours and great pay (over $130k/salary) do not offset low satisfaction ratings. Keep in mind, although you want a paycheck that supports your essential needs, high pay alone is not a recipe for workplace satisfaction.

While both the SHRM and EBRI studies indicate an increasing appetite for higher compensation, other findings underscore a strong link between employer recognition and employees job satisfaction.

Just over two-thirds (68%) of employees indicated they were happy with their benefits. Tellingly, 94% of employees who received positive feedback about their performance everyday or more frequently were satisfied or very satisfied with their work — and this figure gradually declined with less and less recognition. Overall, however, respondents were pleased with a good work/life balance (45-hour workweek), being able to have an impact, and having an extremely high bonus potential. Ninety-three percent of these professionals felt that their work was meaningful–a powerful measure of workplace happiness.

In response to the feedback, Adobes introduced company-wide, monthly days off; 20 new paid days each year for employees who are directly affected by a major event such as the pandemic or a disaster; flexible schedules to meet caregiver obligations; and increased their health reimbursements to $600 a year.

As the highest-ranking employee at a company, it is a CEOs job to make key decisions about management teams, lead the organization into new markets or product areas, and interact with the board.
